OYM Innovation’s patent-pending tartar removal technology aims to revolutionize the $36B oral care industry for the first time in over 66 years. Crest's introduction of cavity-fighting fluoride toothpaste in 1956 transformed the oral care market, but fluoride does not prevent or remove tartar. Today, tartar removal only happens in the dental hygienist chair; a time-consuming and painful process where tartar is scaled off the teeth mechanically. OYM's technology is designed to actively remove mature tartar from teeth in seconds without irritating gums or eroding the teeth. Like fluoride, we believe that OYM’s technology will be added to branded oral care products such as toothpaste, mouthwash, and professional gels, applied to both human and pet oral care markets, and will be made available to both consumer and professional channels.
OYM has assembled a team that includes renowned dentist and microbiologist, Dr. Jordan Goldstein and a leading scientific expert in applied chemistry, Prof. Shlomo Margel from Bar-Ilan University, Israel. During the research and development process, the team has also established other potential innovative solutions for the oral care industry that include peri-implantitis treatments, novel teeth whitening technologies, and cavity prevention agents. Along with a robust research and development team, the company management team consists of experienced professionals from the oral care consumer goods market and dental professionals.
